Hey guys, I was planning on installing a set of TFS Track Heat heads on a friends car. I was planning on using the stock valve covers. Will they fit? I thought I read somewhere that the stock covers won't work on TFS heads? I know I would have to remove the baffle, but are there any issues aside from that?

My stock ones fit fine with ford raci g 1.6 rockers. It should work but it depends what rocker you use. I also use the slightly thicker cork gaskets with no issues.

I used stock 5.0 valve covers with TFS track heat heads and Crane blazers, all with a Comp 292R solid roller cam. You have to remove the baffles and grind a few other spots on the valve covers, but they work fine.

I was going to say what MatthewP said, you have to remove the baffles and grind.

Thanks guys, sounds like they should work. One less thing I'll have to worry about...

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
