for those that have 1.7's rr and efi stock or gt40 intake. would these clear, i had some ford racing valve cover that would've required a intake spacer and a little modifying, but these look exactly the same height as the stockers......
Edelbrock 4260 Valve Covers

even those say tall profile they are nothing in comparison the the ford racing ones, i compared them too the Ford racing,so im pretty sure they will clear the rockers but what about intake? do these require a space as well?

ps. what to use to clean aluminum best. i have a set of these that have been sitting a long time and they are really rough..

Application:
Street/Strip
Edelbrock 4260 Elite Series valve cover for Ford.
Fits 289, 302 (except Boss), and 351W V8.
Will not fit 1986 and later 5.0L with EFI manifolds.
Edelbrock's Elite Series of valve covers are made from die cast aluminum with a polished finish for that true custom look. The raised fins are accented by a flat black background finish and detailed with Allen hex heads for a two piece appearance. They are available in two distinctive styles, one with the famous "Edelbrock" signature, and the other in the classic original no-name Elite line. The tall profile covers clear most roller rockers and aftermarket valve train components while the low profile covers will clear most air conditioning and alternator brackets. For even more sparkle and shine, many applications are also available in the bright EnduraShine finish.
Tall profile, 4-1/4" overall height.

they'll probably require a spacer. i bet they hit the throttle cable bracket on the passenger side

i know it says that. but this particular set is really old! and they look exactly like the stockers.
i bet they would work except for the tb linkage and throttle cable... i forgot about those. i was just thinking about the plenum on the driver side hitting?
