will these rockers:

Crane Cams 44746-16 - Crane Energizer Pedestal Mount Roller Rocker Arms - summitracing.com

fit under stock valve covers with an e-cam ?? i am just curious as i am looking for some new rockers, since the ones on my car are pro-form and wont clear with me trying to get rid of the motorsport valve covers to put the factory ones back on.

thanks

The Crane 1.7 rockers will fit just fine under the stock valve covers. I have exactly the same ones under mine.

I have a "B" cam (less lift than an E) and I had to modify my breather baffle. I have the stock aluminum covers. If you have the steel Cobra type covers they should clear.

this is going to sound completely stupid but do i need to use shims with these rockers or can i just torque them down like the factory ones ?? the heads have not been milled or anything of that nature, and i know the proform rockers didnt have shims nor have i used shims with stock rockers

I recommend that you check the valve train geometry anytime you go to a non stock cam. You may need the shims, you may not. There are many threads explaining how to check the geometry here at Stangnet.
