I love a wide tire so i bought bullit style rims for my 06 gt. the rims are 17x9 and i want to put 275/55 r 17s out back. does anyone see this causing problems? thanks!

Finally got them on and man is it a tight fit. I love em though. do you think these will hurt or help performance?

I wish I saw this earlier. Man you are talking about a 28.9" tire. Way too tall. Stock tire height is about 27" in overall height which is where you want to be. 27.5" max if the car is lowered. Try putting 2 buddys in the back seat while you stand on the door sill plate and take a look. I tried a set of big drag radials of the same height and immediately had the the first one dismounted after putting it on the car. My car is lowered 3/4". They do look good though.
None of the tire companys have come out with a drag radial that is both wide and the proper height for these cars as of now. I'm waiting.
