Hey guys,

I'm trying to get some feedback on a combo I'm thinking of going with. I did a lot of searching on this and I found similiar combos, but none the exact same. Keep in mind I already have the cam and intake and I'm trying to do this on a budget. The setup is as follows:

-Cobra upper and lower intake
-Edelbrock performer 5.0/5.8 heads
-Crane 2031 cam

I know many would consider these parts to be way outdated, but I already have the intake and the cam in the car and I was going to go with these heads because they are supposed to a direct bolt-on. These parts should work together in a streetable 1,000 to 6,000rpm powerband. I'm hoping to make 280-290ish dynojet rwhp. I just want a fun weekend driver. Does anyone have experience with this combo or any advice? Thanks, I really appreciate it.

The OEM Cobra intake is gonna start to peter out a bit past 5K

That is not to say it is not a good street intake
but
Just don't expect it to go quite as high as you have talked about

You should be able to get in that range of performance you seek

I've put up many threads with charts of combos like you speak of here

Use my screen name and you can look at a bunch of em
