Will this combo work with stock suspension without rubbing?

1965 mustang coupe: I am going to get 17x8 wheels with 4.75'' backspacing, and 235/45/17 tires, will this combination rub with all stock suspension, front fender lip is rolled flat. Thanks.

Without the Shelby drop or lowering springs, it looks like it should work. Check here:

im running a 245 tire on a 7.5 inch wide rim and it clears everywhere. Also in the back i can fit a hoosier 10x26 slick

On 67 coupe 235/55/17 tire ribs the front fender when making a turn at 15+ mph. Yours is some 7/8" smaller but 65 has tighter fender lip clearance than 67. It will be a tight fit. let us know.

Everything cleared no problem, probably could have gone with 245/45/17 all around with no issues, the key is the 4.75'' backspacing. Wheels were voxx old school from america tire, only $141 each and very nice quality, better looking than american racing wheels by far.
