well my stock deck just took a dump and the volume button doesnt work now. I am gonna get a stock 99 Mach Tape Deck from my friend. But i have a Non-Mach tape deck stock. Will the mach just plug straight in?

I dont think so. they redesigned the dash. the stereo in a 98 (i believe) is a 2 piece thing. cd player below, and reciever in the middle. the 99 is a 1 piece. there is a split dividing the 98's reciever in cd player. i may be wrong but i only see it being a bitch.

I would think 99 still has the 2 piece setup, My 2000 had 2 pieces, the stereo up top and the CD in the shifter area

well i know the mach has an amp for the deck. Will the deck work without the amp?

I am pretty sure the Mach deck doesn't have a internal amp therefore it won't work.

You will have a problem because of the mach/ non mach change. I would suggest picking up a new radio.
