Nitto DR's are not a semi- slick to me that is an ET street.
Will you hurt your rearend with them doubtful with the list mods in your sig.
Although a little food for thought, DR's tend to stay kinda slick in cold weather. Also I know several people that run the nitto DR's at all 4 corners during the summer months.

You could always get the non-drag radial version and save some money

If you do most of your racing on the street notnice: ) then stick to street tires, because I'm sure you'll be kicking yourself when a rain storm hits after you smoke Ricer Joe and you have to drive home. The nittos I was talking about are here
On a basically stock GT, those should be more than enough tire for you. Just pick the size you need and be on your way. Also look at some Good year F1s or Bf goodrich tires

i personally wouldnt go with the 555r for street use. it has a very low tread life, and was meant more to grip at the track. be it as it may, itll grip better on the street than most regular street tires, but it wont last long.

i personally ran kuhmo ecstas in my gst. being fwd, i ate those up rather fast, they gripped well for the price. i got some toyo proxes off a buddy and man, night and day. when i do rims/tires, ill be going toyo's out back definately. i also have only heard great things about sumitomo's(or however the **** theyre pronounced) on the street.

and as always, if youre planning on racing, do it on some abandoned road that has room for error on both sides(not a country road with trees 5 feet from pavement on either side that love to catch cars with bad drivers). or a nice long 2 lane freeway in the middle of the night with no lights on either horizon.

btw, if you got teh 555r's, you might as well go to the track anyways, get some real numbers on how those tires put it down.

If your 1-2 shift is getting violent then back off some. Your not going anywhere anyway with the tires spinning. But I wish I had got some ET streets instead of regular street radials for the back. I never drive my car in rain or wet weather. If you have another car to drive in crappy weather then I say get some ET streets, they are the best hooking DOT aproved tire IMO.
