I like them without, but just try to find one on the lot with the Spoiler Delete option. That's the only reason I have one.

Anybody want to buy a Torch Red factory wing?

Wingless

I just happen to prefer the look without the wing. I was placing an order, so it was easy to order it without the wing. Ford calls it "spoiler delete." If it had really been a spoiler, rather than a wing, I might have wanted it.

No wing for me either guys! This is why I special ordered the car w/o the piece. As an architectural designer I find obtrusive 'tack on pieces' ruin the lines of great designs. In my belief the car looks bolder as the lines look more crisp towards the rear end of the car. By tacking on the wing you are taking away from the elements of the Mustang's true heritage. Although some might disagree, for example the '71 Mach 1...

To me its like Frank Lloyd Wright tacking on a faux doric column made of vinyl to the Guggenhiem. Sorry its just my rant, don't mean to offend anybody. If the wing's your thing...that's cool.

Here have a look!

Love the Wrightian reference - I concur! Le Corbusier would likely opt for the spoiler delete if he were still around as well.

As did I...

No wing here, ducktail in the wings! No pun intended, painted and ready for installation.

My 5'2" wife couldn't see out the back when we bought the '05 so I had the dealer take the spoiler off. They filled the holes with stainless steel carrage bolts. It dosen't look too bad, but I've been asked what the four little metal things are for.

The damn dealer charged me $100, but that is exactly what I got for the spoiler on eBay.

It's probably a matter of preference. But in my case, the retro styling caused me to be interested in a Ford for the first time ever. I was already planning a stick convertible. And then when I saw a black convertible with red interior; I was hooked.

I investigated the vehicle and ordered and 07 to my liking which included spoiler delete and the charcoal dash (among other options).

Here's a couple of photos. I love the clean look. The interior is Katzkin charcoal / red leather (I thought the Ford stock red interior was overdone.)

I feel if your going wingless.. you can't go half ass and Leave the 3rd brake light if your trying to get the look of a 65-67 Fastback decklid (Looks that much better...cleaner)

See pics of VthStang & RandyB cars below

Wow...you know what Nwoh50, this might sound stupid, but I didn't even realize the third brakelight was missing. I guess I haven't gone over the car enough yet!

Anyway guys, kudos to Randy, Mail and the others, your Stangs look super duper, awesome, tops!!!

Mies and Gropius would appreciate as well, maybe not Venturi though....lol

Less IS more....

Thats the whole idea.. keep it clean and make it blend

I hope you will think it over and have your stang in the body shop having the mod done to yours !

I also removed the Dealership Logo from your decklid, if your not getting payed to display it.. remove it !!!

That definitely looks clean, but there is no delete option for it short of the paint shop and original paint is too precious to me to disturb it for that reason. I don't really like the big antena on the front fender either, but Ford chose to do it that way.

The factory stock spoiler looks nice, but it is a PITA to detail and feels flimsy/cheap.
