Winter

Hey, that just sounds like fun if you have a head on your shoulders.

It can be. I remember my 03GT used to spin the tires into 4th on a cold AM.

This morning it was -1 out. The roads are coated in salt and traction is limited. I think I spun my front tires through 3rd gear on the Taurus trying to merge onto the highway.

A week or two ago I got caught driving home from work while snow was falling! It was scary and fun at the same time. My 40 minute commute up I-95 turned in to 2 hours! It was in the forecast but I was too dumb to heed the warnings. Add to that, I love driving the car.

Should be ok as long as you aren't driving it, but I would get it off the street as soon as possible.
When I was 18 I got my first muscle car (72 Chevelle) and had to drive it through one winter.
I can remember filling buckets of hot water from my moms sink and trying to was the salt off it
before the water froze.
The following spring I bought a $400 winter beater and kept the Chevelle at my sister and brother in-laws house, God rest their soles. Anyways those were the days...young, dumb and broke..lol

Drove it yesterday. Roads are too cold, and it spins through every gear.

Yep, pretty fun going into 4th at ~90mph and getting wheelspin... even with drag radials... Was 41*.
So, it has warmed up some here, 50's in the am, and, I got some new sneakers... MT ET Street SS, and for my little 306, traction is no longer an issue.

I still DD mine, but thats the fun of living in the south. If we get that "white stuff" we shutdown the entire state. Doesn't mean that it doesn't get cold as :poo: just no salt to have to worry about.
