Winter

So, it has warmed up some here, 50's in the am, and, I got some new sneakers... MT ET Street SS, and for my little 306, traction is no longer an issue.

My slicks are 20 years old. I think I am going to go for drag radials next time. Slicks just break stuff. I can live with a .1 loss on my 60ft.

automatic or standard?
I'll run the DR's on the street, where I'm not dumping the clutch at 6k rpms, but, at the track no thanks. DR's are way too violent with a typical street oriented clutch in a standard at the track.
At the track they either;
1. spin and do not recover, which is fine for parts, but not for ET.
or
2. dead hook with minimal wrap up and bog... which is about as hard as you can be on parts.

On the street, so far I am liking these MT ss's... have not really put them to the test, but I can roll to the floor in 2nd without breaking them loose, which I could not do with my previous BFG Dr's (same size tire and wheel)

I think we talked about this before actually. I have minimal experience with drag radials. I have run them a handful of times. I went right to slicks, and they broke a lot of stuff.
