How do you remove the wiper arms?... I want to take them off to paint them but I don't want to damage them while removing them. Any ideas?

If you look at the base of the arm, you will see a little lock sticking up at the top of the base. You lift the arm off the windshield, use a small screwdriver to pull that lock out, towards the windshield, while pulling the blade away from the windshield. This will lock the blade away from the glass, then gently pull the base of the arm off the wiper trannsmission.

uhh can someone explain this a little better, maybe even pics , tell me like i'm retarded lol.

When i look at mine it looks like it has two little screws on the bottom that i have no way of getting to. I don't see any type of "lock".

It ""kind of"" makes since what fett said but i've been trying to figure this one out for quite some time.

Look beside the arm you see this little tab.

It will look like this when you're finished.

Grab it at the base of the wiper arm and lift the arm off.
You may have to wiggle the arm a little also, it all depends how stuck on the arm is.

Don't sweat it - I strugged with the first one I tried when removing it for the first time. It was seized to the hub, as A.S. noted can happen.

Good luck.
