So I take my car in to get the windshield wipers fixed because it's not the motor, it's not the switch....the guy tells me it is like a 100 dollar part from Ford thats like a relay type switchbox crap...like the main control of the wipers. He says that the Ford part guy told him he might not be able to get it because they are not making it anymore.

Anyone know what this refers to?

He must be talking about the interval timer, the thing that makes the wipers sweep delay from once a second to once every 10 seconds or so. Time to go to the junkyard and dig up dead soldiers...

So do they really not sell them anymore? Where is it located? If I turn the wipers on High...my amp gauge will click up and down....and every million times....my wipers will sweep once...and then back to the clicking. Doesn't work on any other setting.

The part is still available from Ford for $111.19 plus sales tax. Perhaps you can get a deal from Lone Star Ford down there. I'm not sure where you live in relation to you, but it's worth a shot! Or as suggested earlier, try to find a used one but remember you get what you pay for.
