Wire identification

Found this wire in the drivers kick panel tapped into by previous owner. Any idea what the factory wire goes to?

Need more info.

Does that wire go into a ford factory connector in the kick panel? If so, what color and how many pins is the connector? What's the wire color it's tapped into? What are the other wire colors in the same connector?

To ID it, i'll need to identify the connector it goes into first, and from there i can tell you what that wire does

Took a bunch of pics and forgot about it lol.

The harness looks like it has a yellow, red and blue wire along with the green and black.

I noticed there is another harness tapped with a yellow wire.

The yellow wire looks like a different wire from the original post.


I'll poke around in my EVTM later tonight and see what i can find

The gray 12-pin connector is C207. It looks like the tap is connected to a brown wire?

If so, that wire is power feed to the rear license plate lights on the hatch feed from the main light switch.

I still can;t see enough of the first wire and plug to ID that one however

Car had a Alpine car alarm when i bought it. Took the brain box out a long time ago and would like to remove any thing from it when i find it but dont want to mess up something up.

Makes sense. It's probably flashing the lights
