wires for auto meter gauges?

Got my ato meter volt and oil pressure gauges in the mail today. They did'nt send me any wire to run to the sending unit. I thought they would but i guess not . What kind of wire do i need to use and i'm assuming i can get it at any auto parts store.?

Any light gauge wire should do -- there's no current to speak of running through those wires. Go to radio shack & get a spool of light weight stranded wire. Something like thier "Alarm wire", part number 278-862 ought to be fine. I assume that the gauges only have 2 connections?

Any insulated 18 gauge wire should be OK.

In shopping around myself, I actually found that it was cheapest to buy a small roll of your favorite color wire from Home Depot.
