well, i took off my intakes to get to what i though was going to be a collapsed lifter. What I found was a lifter that the roller that rests on the cam was snapped in half. The lifter had only 5000 miles on them. They were FRPP. I was driving normal when it happened. Anyone else have this happen??

twice... i had to replace both of my front wheels before it stopped happening

no, im sorry thats never been heard of by me before, if you had a shop install them call the shop and see what they can do, if it was a DIY job, im sorry but you're SOL - **** outta luck

I have never broke a stock or factory style roller lifter.

Like others mentioned, something else gave first. I would think the cam is also trash along with some other valve train parts, and possible some pistons.

they can just break , I have a free shortblock thanks to this happening to a 98 explorer 5.0 engine with only 58K miles on it under normal driving
