I was cutting bolts to length with a hand grinder, holding the bolt in one hand the grinder in the other, ( yeah I know a Bad Idea ) but I was in a hurry. Well the grinder caught on the bolt slipped sideways cut thru my glove and down to my tendon in my thumb. The cool part is the cut off wheel was so hot it seared the skin ends that it cut together so it didnt bleed, but I had a half dollar size hole over my thumb knucke, you could watch the tendons and the bones move around, 12 stitches and it was a good.

My hand slipped off a ratchet once and caught the groove on the spindle when the washer goes in. My knuckle had a cut so deep all i seen was white but no blood so i kept working 10 minutes later i was covered in blood and it wouldnt stop for nothing.. So i ran to the store and bought some liquid bandage and dumped it in there and it finally stopped. Probabbly should of had at least 6 stitches..

oops

I was air chisseling the cats appart on my stock H pipe, to "repair" them, and the v-blade I was using slipped out of the cut, and into my hand that was holding the pipe. It went in between my thumb and finger and all the little fat molecules, i am assuming that is what it was, looked like little fish eggs, were popping out of the 1/2" deep crater in my hand. It felt great.

I once crushed my finger when I was around 16 working on my truck at the time (crushed it between the frame and a breaker bar). It swelled pretty bad but later went down in size. Over the next few years my finger got larger and larger in diameter. I finally saw a dr. who sent me to a specialist and he determined that the "shock" caused to my finger caused a fibrous mass to grow in my finger. As a result, I had to get surgery on my finger, the mass had grown around some nerves so they had to cut those out as well, and then put somewhere around 30 stitches from my knuckle to the tip. In the end, the mass was removed but I still can't straighten my finger all the way and I also don't have feeling in it. Regardless, I still love to work on cars when I have a chance

lol, to go along with the gasoline one.....

When I had my 83 and I was 17, I took my intake off with the carb still attached.... I flipped it upside down to look at the gasket I needed to get off the intake while walking to the parts washer... I get there... Start feeling a burn.... OMG... all the gas in the carb drained onto my pee pee!!! LMAO It hurt sooooooo bad... I was around back with the hose down my pants and everyone at my step dads shop was laughing their asses off.. it was hilarious...

I was also helping a friend do a clutch, and we were under the car putting the tranny back in the car... I asked if he had it so I could reposition, he said yes.. .I let go and he DIDN'T have it... well, the tranny mount fell on my elbow, and one of the bolts went into my arm LOL... Probably the worse pain I've ever felt... Almost passed out. Injuries are cool, as long as you don't die. lol

i was pulling off my pressure plate and didn't really know there was really sharp metal behind that thing. i reach behind to tug it away and get a nice clean slice from my first knuckle all the way out to my finger tip on my index finger. it bled for a while.

was putting my tranny up and the MGW shifter was on it and it didn't wanna fit into the hole in the tunnel. after a while my arms got kinda tired and the tranny slipped and landed on my left upper arm. i thought it was broken but was just very badly bruised. luckily the tranny was fine too

gasoline went in my eye when i changed the fuel filter... let's just say i never thought blasting water into my eyeball ever felt so good haha

the worst injury i've had while working on my car happens everytime i turn a wrench.... an injury to my wallet

Cut the top of my hand to the bone (I seen it...) when my hand slipped on friends transmission...I wasn't there but 5 minutes...some white meat and a few stitches later and I was good to go...nice little scar from it.

Seems like a lot of us are getting a bit beat up around transmission oriented items...I'll remember that...
