Worth?

My boss is trying to sell me a 79 gt. It has no tranny, but everything else on the car is in great shape. It has 1" lowering springs the interior is out of a 92gt as is most of the suspension. What's it worth so I know what to expect to pay since he hasn't said a price yet. Also this may sound stupid but, can i take body panels off of a 93 lx and put them on this cars frame? I don't care for the way the 79's look and i don't have the equipment to move everything to my car to make it a v8. Thanks in advance.

There are some tough lookin 79's out there, Id keep it that way.

There were no GT's until 1982. Is it a hatch or a notch? If it's a Pace Car, you should get it and leave it the way it is.

He told me it was a 5.0 car. It was my assumption that it was a gt

I haven't asked if it's a notch or a hatch because I don't really care about that.

I don't have the tools to convert or I'd just use my 93 LX

this is what my boss said about the car and i'll post the pics later

it will
have a new rebuilt V8- T-5 transmission and new clutch also. Car has a 3.27
Posi rear gear, power pulleys, lowering springs, Flowmaster mufflers, Accel
Coil, Engine has new timing chain, windage tray, air filter, water pump,
distributor, wires, cap, rotor, plugs, and I think oil pump I will find out,
The following parts were upgraded to early 90's V8 parts Seats, Front
K-member which holds the engine and front suspension, Front and rear sway
bars, Front and Rear brakes, Steering rack, Booster and Master cylinder,
Radiator. Car can have airconditioning again, but needs lines and
condensor. Interior is in very good shape, Dash has no cracks

btw he'll sell it to me for 2k

Buy it. Dont hesitate just buy it. Its a notch and looks fairly straight.
