Would a 2" drop be too much on 18s?

Hey guys my '96 mustang looks like a 4 wheel drive lol. I've seen where people recommend not dropping more then 2" but I haven't seen what size wheels this is recommended for? I have 18x9 and 18x10 bullets. Would I have an issue? Also if anyone has any pictures with this combination and feel like sharing, that would be great. Thanks guys.

Im lowered about 2" with 17's. I don't see how wheel size would matter, 2" is 2" no matter what wheel you're running. Be prepared to scrape a lot. I scrape on everything, especially after getting longtubes. Personally, I prefer the look of the car (looks badass lowered 2") over the issue of scraping

That looks really good. I have like 4-5" between the top of my tire to the fender. I wonder why 2" drop springs lower it so much?

For the love of god man that damn thing looks fantastic! What are you running? I'm wondering if the only way to get my car that low is with coil-overs. I want this look...but without the ricer wheels.

H&R super sports without isolators

I honestly would like it to be lower but that would just be downright impractical.

Photoshopped lol The gravel/rock it's sitting on just kills the look IMO I'm trying to plan out my suspension build and low is the only way to go for me. H&R's are the top of my list but I'm definitely still looking at coil-overs.

I just have the ford racing C-springs (less drop) and I still scrape on most speed bumps.

You guys mention long tubes scraping, but what scrapes on a stock mustang? The cross member? Doe anyone make a low profile cross member that wouldn't hit?

By the way, how many posts do I need before I can make a signature?

I 'heat treated' my front springs to get it hunkered down for now and my biggest scraping issue is with the H-pipe (where the H ends and the cat back begins) It doesn't sit right to begin with so lowering was no help.

I second the racecraft drop spindles. They lower the front end 2 inches, but keep the geometry correct.

The racecraft's are nice, but most people just dont find it practicle to spend $500+ on drop spindles.
