I have an '88 LX 5.0 that's lowered enough that the fronts slightly tuck under the fender, but have a chance to pick these wheels up as well as a 13 inch BAER break conversion.

I know I would have to do a 5 lug conversion, but they are 18X9.5's with a +20 offset and should fit any 94-04, and are wrapped with 275/35/18's.

i doubt you would get 275's up front lots of fox's are running 275's in the rear not sure about the offset of those rims however.

They would probably fit on the rear but I don't think you're going to get them to fit upfront. I've heard that some guys have put 255's up front but noone with 275's. I think the 94-04 stangs have considerably larger front wheel openings so they can run the wider tires.

well it says that he is willing to sell the rims w/o the tires in that thread, so maybe you could do that and get some smaller ones for the front.

I'd probably still buy the whole wheel/tire package if the price was right (I did not follow the link to the other thread). You'll at least have a spare set of rears if they don't fit up front.

Question:

What is the correct backspacing required of a rim to put 275s in the rear without further modification?

A 9.5" wheel with 20mm offset has a backspaceing of 6.03".

I doubt you'll get those to fit if your car is low enough that the top of the front wheel is in the fender
