I hate takin this thing apart... keep finding more junk I dont like.

Plenty of oil in the PCV lines and the intake manifold is BLACK inside.

I get a decent amount of oil in my plenum as well. And that is after a new intake (with a new PCV and screen).

I have a lot of oil in my intake as well. New screen, new PVC valve, doesn't matter.

i replace the PCV, the screen, and the grommet, and wound up doing the oil seperator, when it get full, just dump it back into the valve cover

My seperator tends to catch a gas/oil mix .... so I don't even think about dumping it back in.

I'm with Justin on that. It's not just oily vapor, but byproducts and contaminates from combustion - not what I really want to recirculate in the sump. That said, fuel flashes off pretty easily.

I probably would undo the connection. The stuff in my separator looks like oil but you can smell some other distillates in it. It would be kinda interesting if someone did a UOA on the catchcan contents, but we all have better things to do.
