Ok, so I'm stuck with my 07gt convertible, 80k miles on it with a manual trans. I'm really thinking about swapping the engine and trans over to my 96 mustang gt, but I would still need to get a car for my girl and as much as I love her I'm
Not willing to give her my 08 gt500, I don't think she would like the feel of a 96 mustang especially with the cable clutch and old school suspension. so far I've seen many v6 convertibles and coupes for about 2 grand blown engine with auto trans, can anyone point me to a write up of swapping over the gt parts. As far as I can plan it is to swap; engine harness, pcm, foot pedal assembly and space cylinder, engine, and transmission. Do I need to swap the k-member? Underdash fuse box? I also want to swap the heated seats as well and I'm hoping there is already connector for the heated seats or else I'll swap the floor harness as well Any tips would be amazing

I found an amazing write up! It seems easiest to remain with a 2005-2009 mustang so that's what I will do. In a couple months I'll start the project and I'll post pics and how I'm doing. The 96gt I always just wanted a wow factor so when the time comes I wouldn't mind throwing a lightning motor in it sticking up a few inches out of the hood. That'll be a project for later as well, maybe next year. If I run into any problems I hope you guys can help me out

If you're going to go through trouble to #valve swap an SN95 then go the extra mile and upgrade to hydraulic clutch.

If was going performance with the sn95 and needed a stronger clutch id go hydraulic for sure. I want to stay s197 for this swap. After driving s197's it's hard to go back to an sn95. I really just want to find a roller s197 with the body in great condition, preferably yellow convertible v6. The yellow gt's I've seen are mustard
