Well guys i had new tire put on today and while they were doing that i went back and had them switch around the stable bar's on each side not for sure who it was that told me to do this then we stated to put the rims back on and found out it would touch the rim  ...... Ok i am running out of ideas about what do to get more room on the back so i can have my 315's on there plz come on guys need help.... :damnit:

By the way Bfgoodrich Drag Radials in 315's kick my butt...... Hook very well. :nice:

Paul i am waiting to see what u have to say about this one ugh :(

I don't know who told you that you could run the quad shocks with 315s' but you can't. Unless you want to add a spacer and have the tire sticking out and looking like @$$!
I believe that if you get aftermarket lower control arms (ie. no rubber bushings) that you won't have a problem with wheel hop which is why the quad shocks are on there. You might have to go with upper control arms as well though.

I can go down stairs right now, take a picture and show you my NON-flipped quad shocks on my car with 17X10.5 wheels and 315 series rubber. You CAN flip the quad shocks and it will give you roughly an additional 1/2" of clearance, if you need more than that I'd be VERY surprised. I run 6.75" of BS, and I know most of the other 17X10.5 run 6.95 which is less than a 1/4 of an inch. I know you gained a 1/4" by flipping the quads unless someone had already done it before you did and mistakenly you have it back to the way it was stock.

I stand corrected :hail2: I've only read and seen that the amount of backspacing would be too much for 315s on 17x10.5" and quad shocks. Never knew about flipping the quads. But, if you can specify a backspacing on custom wheels that is indeed different.

I run a 1/4" spacer, and even if I took it off I would NOT need to flip the quad shock. It's possible your BFG's are a bit wider than my 315 nitto drags. But on mine it's a long distance call from the tire to the quad shock. The only reason I run them is to help with my Bassani clearance and because it looks better.

Are you talking about the quad shocks? I ended up removing mine, you just need some aftermarket LCA's.

Or you could run spacers, but I would be afraid of the tire rubbing on the fender if your car's lowered.

THIS is the part i am talking about that touches just to make sure we are all on the same page... and if i flip it aroudn it touches rim... Well it did while it was up in the air maybe if i flipp it around then set it ont he ground it will help who knows...

Yep, thats the quad shock. I had the same problem with mine, one way the tire hit it, and the other way the rim hit it. I thought that was just because I had aftermarket replacement quad shocks tho.

My Goodyears are a good bit wider than the Nitto's, I think that was my problem.

Edit: Goodyear F1 GS-D3 315/35/17 = 12.3" wide
Nitto 555R 315/35/17 = 12.1" wide
BFG Comp T/A DR's 315/35/17 = 12.4" wide

Do they fit if you completely remove the quad shock? You can run without it on stock LCA's, but I would get some aftermarket LCA's as soon as possible. They are there to control wheel hop, but aftermarket LCA's shouldn't give you any wheel hop problems. I know I've never had a problem with it.

Lower Control Arms

The aftermarket ones are designed better than the factory ones. They will give you better traction and eliminate the need for the quad shocks. I got a set of BBK's from Summit.
