Well i went to the track friday night and my best time prior to the nittos was a 14.4 w/ a 2.2 60ft. Well After i did a few second burnout i dropped the clutch at about 2k rpm and well all i did is spin and the same thing happened the 2nd run! Am i doing something wrong should i ride the clutch out of the hole? I didnt even shave a tenth off!

I get 2.2's launching at 2750rpms on my 18" Sumitomos. Something is wrong with your technique or something. Most guys with DR's around here drive around the water and do a short dry burnout to get dirt and crap off the tires. I would just try different launching RPMs, tire pressure, etc. and see what combo works for you. I would definitely try slipping the clutch. After I finally did that, I ran my best run last season with just my catback at 14.21 w/a 2.1X 60ft. on my 18-inchers.

well if your not spinning try leaving at 4000 rpm's!! and powershift the hell out the car...

in other words if your foot is coming off the gas at any time during your run, your doing it wrong

Easy for u to say roller u got an auto...lol

OK yes im sure there drag radials. I just got them last week! size is 315/35/17 Car is a stock 98gt. The first run i dropped the tire pressure down to about 14psi the 2nd run i dropped them down to 12psi! Ive heard the radials need time to wear in and then they start hooking better. On the street the hook really good once they get hot.

You shouldn't need to drop the pressure that much...nor should have you need to even heat cycle them to improve your traction some. However, if you do a good 6-8 second burnout your tires should be extremely sticky. After you run next time pull your car off and check your tires you should have gotten stuff stuck to your tires they are so sticky. If not then you do NOT have drag radials.

What else have you changed on your car since your last runs?

The car is the same only diff being the D/R's Oh and i took the sway bar off. A buddy of mine had some and he said it took a lil while before they started hooking good! And again i am 100% sure there drag radials, it even says so on the sidewall I have nitto nt555 up front though.
