I just think it's actually hilarious that when a window motor quits in one of these cars, all you have to do is slam the door with the ignition on and your finger on the button.

I just had the window quit rolling down in my 04, and did a search, and in every thread I read, that trick fixed it. So I decided to try it and sure enough, worked like a charm.

I don't know but on my Mustang (98GT) the passenger side switch quit working ... I swapped the switch to the driver side and now they both work .. WTF?

On my truck (B4000/Ranger), I have to tap 3-4 times really hard on the driver side button and then the window will decide to go down. Dem' sum junk!

I dont have any probs yet, but i think i can spot a potential problem.

When you drive in the rain, or when your car is wet, and crack a window, water rolls down the roof and drips down right in the spot above the window switches. I always get water right in the switches.

One day, i just know my windows won't work and it will be because of water there.

OMG, can I ever agree with you! Even if the roof is DAMP, the water will bead and drip right above the switches. What a PITA.

I've had the driver side window motor quit 3 times I think. It was really, really hot outside when it happened. After sundown it went back up, except the last time.

The last time I was driving somewhere and was pissed off. I slammed my left forearm into the door and it started working again.

i dont have any switch problems, but my drivers side sounds like a dying duck when it rolls down. doesnt really bother me that much. both sides go up equally so its not broke so it aint getting fixed. the day it stops going up is when it gets fixed.

The worst is that damn cup in the door. My seal leaks right in the center front window at the crease and rain fills that sucker right up. You don't know how mad this makes me when I forget and I put my hand in the cup to pull the door closed.
