wtf? t5 #5 down the drain...

+1 on the astro. i've been thinking of selling my tremac to get an astro. if it was me i would buy one,i dont think you would be happy with the way a tremac shifts.peace

My 3550 plus the Pro 5.0 equals one seriously stift, rock hard shifting trany. It definitely takes some getting used to. You have to PUT it in gear...none of that slip it in crap you have with a T5. It's one of those thing where, if it were my daily driver it would annoy me, but because i'm just having fun it sort of adds to the whole experience. You know you're not in a commuter when you drive it :nice:

does anyone that lives in the states where the NMRA comes to talk to the guy's in the stick shift class? Go talk to them 1/2 are tremac and 1/2 are still t-5. tremacs arent as strong as everyone thinks but they are strong. what does make them stronger is they dont have the stupid 2 piece 3rd gear cluster.TTC: TREMEC Transmissions

If I blow up my z spec t5 (it has the super alloy input and cluster gear), I'm going to get a Astro A-5 T5. I've driver and raced my buddies car that has a tko500 in it and I dont like how it shifts. Real crunchy, I love the smoothness of the T5's. If they are rebuilt they are awesome, but when they get old and abused they start getting sloppy and loose...............Like Brigette Neilsons snapper. lol

probably cause t-5's are $100-$600 and a dime a dozen. and a tremac will set you back a total of between $800-$2100  peace

that is exactly why. i'm going to pull this t5 and try and fix it if it's just what 5L5 said. but when it for real goes out, i'm going Astro A5 or G-force. i would go tremec, but that would involve changing out more than just a clutch disc.
