x-cal question (again)

when i bought my car i got an x-cal 2 with it. the tune is only on the car and the tuner itself. is there anyway i can download it from the tuner onto my computer to use the xtreme tune? thankya

i already did that. it gives me all types of options including clearing and unlocking the tuner but nothing about downloading from it. ive used live load and xtreme tune.

SCT will not let you do this. Your out of luck. I know they can do it because they have a program called XC2dump.exe that will extract your stock tune off your xcal2 but not custom tunes. No matter how much you beg, they won't do it.

I wish Ford's ECM's went open source like Subaru and Mitsubishi's.

Yea and it sucks too. I am waiting on tunes right now as well...also waiting on my pro racer software to come in! I was mad when I couldnt pull the tune off my new Xcal2 and modify it....I think tuners should just send you a CD with the tune and info about where timing is set and the such, along with a copy of the tune/tunes they gave you.
