Can you guys give me the differences between an H-pipe and an X-pipe, such as which one is louder, gives more power, etc. also can you suggest some good brands. Thanks,

Brent

How much are you willing to spend? You could start at a mac o/r h pipe at around 130 bucks, or go for a Bassani X pipe for several hundred. Check out mustangexhaust.com for some sounds which may answer the question better than any of us can.

Basically, an X pipe will allow for more power, and will generally give you a raspy nascarish type sound. An H pipe will give you the old classic muscle car deep sound, but won't net you the gains an X pipe will.

I like the x pipe for many reasons the biggest is clearance there is way more room under the car now with the x pipe in place (flowtech x-terminator) and they are comparable in price now + they are suposed to have a slight edge in power production as well.

Ah, the debate goes on....

Fact: power is the same within a single-figure range +/-. Essentially it comes down to sound preference, H is more deep and ballsy-sounding and X is more snarly, raspy European in sound.
