Yall think this is a good combo?

I just recently tore apart my motor(that had just been rebuilt when I bought it) and when I tore it apart I found all kinds of stuff. The guy I bought it from said it had a mild cam and it was a 289 .030.,edel intake=carb and that was it.Well I tore it apart and its a 1968 302 Mexican block .060,351 heads, larger valves, roller rockers, doulbe spring valve sprins, and aftermarket retainers.Im pretty sure the cam is an aftermarket. The crank is bad so my buddy's giving me his crank, bearings, rods, and camand yes the crank has been machined the parts are all brand new.Its a comp cam and he thinks its a 490-520 cam.does this sound good to you guys?I know its alot better than stock but Id like to get your input.

Mexican Block!! Killer!! that is an extreemly strong block!! As a matter of fact Ford used the Mex Block as the replacement block for the old "K" Hipo block!! Look at the main caps!! BIG!!! Huh?? you can Boost the mess out of it!! Good job!! the cam????
measure the base circle of the cam ( at the sides of the lobe) ie 1.300, and then measure the lobe ( the high part of the lobe) ie 1.610, now subtract the two numbers.. 1.300 from 1.610 = .310 !! cool?? NOW take the .310 x the rocker ratio ( 1.6) and that will give you the cam lift!! .310 x 1.6 = .496 lift!!

Have Fun...
