not your usually opinionated thread;

ok here we go,
got a 94 gt now dd, 5.0ftw! had tranny issues getting that sorted out
i want to do minor minor mods to it! just like exhaust,intake,and u/d pulleys
maybe squeeze an extra mpg out of it once i get used to the new sound and decide to slow down

anyways i cant tell if its the tranny(just rebuilt as of today) but i the engine feels rough at like 4k, almost like the cats clogged, i was actually wondering if anyone has ever had there cats smoking? but not to go to far off track, im sure its been done but has anyone installed a offroad mid x or h pipe to a stock catback? and got a clip? considering the midpipes are the most restrictive and noise reducers on the whole car, i think this car has 6 cats! also would it fit onto the stock 2-1/4 piping ok?

would it sound ok or what? stupid idea opinions wanted.

It really depends on what catback you are running on your car. If you plan on keeping your stock catback, the h-pipe will make it deeper. The x-pipe MIGHT be louder and have a little rasp to it, but I don't know anytone who keeps the stock catback on a 5.0. Nor do I know anyone that buys the midpipe then a catback.

My opinion, get the catback first and then the midpipe. Saves for alot headache down the road.
