yet another gt40p header question!

i just put some gt40ps on my mustang and i was wondering if mac equil length shortie headers will work or not ? i dont have a part number or any thing a frind has them and said he would sell them to me cheap if they will work. thanks

I doubt they will work, I expect you need GT40P specific headers. Only way to know is try them, the issue would be clearance for the spark plugs and wires.

I'd buy the "P" specific headers. I had a set in my old 89 and they were some of the best fitting headers I've ever had. Easy to work around, spark plugs were easy to get to, and plug wires had lots of room. If I ever get "P" heads again they are the only header I'll buy.

i have proved the p specfic stuff wrong numorus times. i have used BBK unequal length shorties and stock headers. just got to get some small boots to use on the driver side. the passenger side cleared fine.
