Soooo Sorry to see this Allen...I was hoping that you were gonna be able to avoid all of that additional water, but obviously you weren't. Makes my worries about the circumstance in my life so trivial that it doesn't bare commenting on.
I hope that things go OK for you in the next several weeks/months as you work your way back.

Thank you, Mike. I'm not really sure what else to say. It's overwhelming.

Damn Allen, I'm so sorry. Is the water expected to rise even higher in your area? How's your shop, wasn't it just a hair bit higher up than your house?

It's actually finally going down. It dropped about four inches last night, a few more to go and it will be out of the house. Several feet to go before my yard is dryish and I can start cleanup. Turns out, the shop actually is a bit lower than the house, the water was much deeper in there. I tried to get all of the perishable stuff up high, power tools, etc. but who knows what I missed. Sam and I went in to check on stuff with a flashlight and had to jack the cub cadet up because water was almost in fhe motor. Hopefully it survives, I can't afford another mower after all of this. I can't afford a sandwich after this.

Gosh dang man. Enough hurricanes already. I'm going to sell my junk and build a 100' tall hill with a concrete bunker on top. F hurricanes.

You should make the hurricanes pay for it.

I could not resist. :(

Sorry about all the mayhem man. Seems like Coramparat just went through something similar (still going through). I recall getting flooded every other year or so in Hawaii when I was a kid. What a mess.

Been through a few here in florida, still have a vivid memory of what kendall and key Biscayne looked like after that big blow down the alley. Not looking forward to another.
Rooting for you guys in texas.

Ok Florida members, it looks like your turn is coming.

Damn fellas, it looks like you'll get nailed no matter where you live in the state.

Be safe guys. I hope you find all the food and water you'll need to last through this one.
