Your opinion on a wing for my buddy's Supra

Supra's A grown up, english speaking American would throw away the wing(is it a plane?) and lose the chrome wheels. Red Supra needs black rims. Imo. Wicked cars when done right. Make Corvettes cry, they don't even know what it was!

its not a body kit, just a front lip, the guy hit a curb in it and the little black stock lip is cracked so he is going to replace it with a subtle (READ: PAINTED) lip and he decided to go with the TRD. He is adding Gunmetal deeeeeeep dish rims, 4 inch lip in the back, 2 inch lip in the front. Should look nasty by the time the summer meets roll around.

+1 definently lose the wing and the rims. I'm not usually a fan of black rims but they look sweet on those supras....

good find its a nice lookin car...

Hmm, agree to disagree here...

Supra's hands down are some of the sexiest cars on the road. Compared to a fox body, well there is no comparison. A well done up Supra not only will run insane power, and times at the track, but they are usually street driven, A/C, and look like pure sex with the street wheels/tires. I know it is your opinion, but in MY eyes the Supra trumps nearly every other car in how sexy they can look.

Polishing a turd is actually more for making a fox body Mustang into something than a Supra. The Supra is in another league... a better one!

I agree. Mazda was the first thing I thought of. 99% of the time I hate wings, but that thing doesn't even look like a Supra without the wing. It looks disgusting. Maybe with some nice wheels and better pictures outside I would have a different opinion, but I'm not liking wingless and I usually like the looks of Supras. If he does put a wing on it the stocker is much better than that ricey looking one.

Now he's just gotta make it put 1000 to the ground so he can run high 11s at 150mph and race bolt on Mustangs from a 100mph roll.

I don't know, the new Supra 6-speed record is 8.55 @ 172... Street car with A/C. Something about that makes me happy. Seeing as there was what, one maybe two Mustangs ever with street trannys that touched high high 8s, and there are a few Supras going mid 8s with street style manuals.

Not to mention on a highway roll, dominating turboed bikes would be fun as can be as well!

Supra's can be very fast, no question about that.
But some angles they look like celicas, and that's a bit of an issue with me.
Some other angles they look awesome.
Take for example that picture above, that does indeed look like a celica.

Not really worried if someone doesn't look up to me because I have a love for another car. If I was wealthier, I would own a Supra, end of that convo right there.

I lose respect for people who show ignorance simply because it's "***". The car hands down is one of the best sports cars out there in my eyes. They have proven themselves thousands of times!

Wrong.... Theres nothing wrong with praising a superior vehicle, if you honestly believe that your fox body mustang is the sweetest **** ever, you're way off. I've got my mustang because I love the car, and I wouldnt ever trade it for a Supra, however it is indeed a much better car.

We all like our cars, but thats not the only ones we're aloud to like. Let it go, man.

I agree I love my fox, and have to much time/money to dump it for a Supra, but to think it's the only car I plan to own, race, and modify... never!

Please don't infer that I'm ignorant. I know that Supras can be disturbingly fast, but so can Fox Mustangs. And it goes beyond that, the Fox is an icon of the revival of American automotive performance, as well of a piece of the history of Americana and the pony car. Its the car that restored faith in the V-8 of America, and if it weren't for that, the Probe would have been the Mustang... It pulled us out of the oil crisis in the 70's. This thread just didn't strike any chords until someone decided to compare Supras to the cars that this site was founded on, and not only that, but slander them.

I'm going to shut up after this post, I don't enjoy flaming on the internet. But I am disappointed I'm the only one here on the defense.
