as some of you might remember, i wrote a thread about 6 months or so ago stating the my supervisor hates me but won't let me transfer stores.....well i asked for another transfer a few months ago again and got the same response "NO" well if that wasn't enough at the same time i got a NEW manager....i've been with the company 6yrs this week...an asst manager for 5y8m
and got passed over by a girl that had only been with the company 4 yrs and been an asst manager for 1y6m.....so i was a little frustrated to say the least and the fact that not only does my supervisor not like me apprently my new manager doesn't either.....add the stuff with my foster kid's dad, not to mention the kids have been little brats(they're just pushing buttons)....your talking 1 big headache :bang: ....we'll it had gotten so bad a few weeks ago, that my wife and i were having problems.....well thats over for now(thank goodness):nice: well to get back on the subject.....i started looking for a new job, i tried frito lay(i know what your thinking, but they pay good), i even talked to budweiser :D, but in the end i talked to my stepfather(he owns his own heat and air business) about becoming a liscenced apprentiss and when i get my journal man liscence i can get half the company or do whatever i want to do........:flag:

So what exactly do you do? From how you describe your management, it sounds like retail. If you can get in with something technical and somewhat specialized like the HVAC/Mechanical industry, you'll be setting yourself up for a good future, especially if you consider the opportunities as an independent contractor.

What I always tell people is hold your standards high and don't put up with crap because it won't net you anything but a position as a door mat. If you've gotten nowhere within the company in that much time, you need to get out.
