Well phase two of my 3 phase transformation from a bolt on GT to a street machine is complete.

Phase one I had all the body work done including a steeda q400 hood.

Today I had PSI motorsports here in Houston install my BBK L/T headers, BBK O/r shorty H pipe, poly-eurtheyn (think i spelled that right) motor mounts, Spec stg 2 clutch, Spec steel flywheel and the Steeda firewall adjuster, quadrant and cable.

All I can say is WOW. Everyone was exactly right about the longtube headers, they ARE quiter at lower rpm's, way quiter infact. Before at 2,000 rpm's my car was defeaning and their was a lot of resonation, now at 2,000 rpms its a considerable amount quiter. However at high rpm's it screams!!! At 5k RPM's it sounds like a full blown nascar! That is the only way i can describe it.

The clutch made a HUGE difference on driveability, partly due to the fact that my old clutch was worn out.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with everything, everything went perfect and the results exceeded my expectations, especially the clutch.

Heres exactly what I have now:
BBK L/T Headers
BBK O/R shorty H pipe
Spec Stg. 2 clutch
Spec steel flywheel
steeda firewall adjustor, cable and quadrant

Next week they are installing my Vortech S-trim

That would be the poly engine mounts. Sounds like fun! :nice:

ooo yea its wierd, i never expected to actually be able to feel a difference with the motor mounts but its like it feels more firm

Also i know some of the new vibrations im feeling must be from the LT headers, I mean the driver side one sits directly under my seat...

how's the powerband feel now with the headers? do you notice any difference in low-end torque, or just more pull in the upper rpm's?

It definately pulls harder at around 3k rpms, when i was on the highway driving back I noticed that it pulls in 4th gear from 70- around 90 a lot quicker, even when the rpm's were low i definately noticed a difference.

I cant really give you a good answer because I havent had a chance to pounce on it yet because im still breaking in the clutch, but believe me LT's are definately worth the money.

Just for you killy :nice:

Where is PSI? I live in Houston too and I've been looking for a good performance shop. I will be installing a Roush suspension upgrade kit (complete with lowering springs) soon. Do they do that type of work?

Yes they work on nothing but Mustangs and Lightnings, I HIGHLY recommend PSI, Patrick is a great guy and does awesome work, he is very knowledgable and knows what hes talking about. They do anything you want done.

It is in Webster, heres the website: http://www.psimotorsprts.com

With that being said DONT go to Strictly performance, I have heard nothing but bad things about them...
