I need some opinions on the vortech s-trim against the sq-trim.

My t-trim is very loud outside the car but with the radio on I dont really notice it inside the cabin, and not at all when the top is down unless at a stop.

Certainly noticeable to everyone else. As if a bright red mustang convertible needed anything else for people to look at :)

V2-SQ is perfect. Its plenty noticeable but nowhere near annoying. People still give me the "WTF is that" look.

Oh, and unless you plan on a built bottom end in the future, both units will produce more power than your stock short block is capable of handling.

I have a brand new still in box s trim tuner kit, if interested I'll sell it for 2400, that's 100 less then I have in it and I'll take care of the shipping, you can get everything else to make this kit complete for around 700 bucks

The S trim is pretty noisy, the SQ on the other hand is really, really quiet as far as blowers go. With a pulley it's quite a bit louder, but still very quiet. The SQ on average makes a bit more power, and is slightly more efficient.

Oh but I bet its SOOO fun to pull up the light next to another modded stang with that S trim whistling away and seeing the guys face as he looks over and sees your car and you going :D .

Man I love putting fear into people hearts and I know I would enjoy the heck out of driving around an S trimmed car!
But since my cars exhaust is very quiet AND you cant hear my turbos at idle or durring cruize or by just tapping the gas, I get my kicks by going into boost just before I pass by someone in fast car and letting the BOV sound off (VERY LOUD) , right into their window :rlaugh: . Oddly enough 95%+ of the peeps back way off and wont pull beside me anymore though :(

well turns out modular powerhouse sent me the sq trim instead of the s trim i ordered, i guess i could complain but hell i think its cooler now that its a sleeper plus i guess im getting more power out of it since supposedly it outflows the s trim

Anyway mine is pretty quit, you can hear it at idle and up to about 2500 rpms you can hear a whistle but after that my exhaust covers up any sound from the s/c

I heard a turbo 5.0 getting dyno'd at PSI last time i was there and holy **** :jaw: that thing sounded sooooooooooooooo awesome with the BOV, it shook your entire body standing next to it when that BOV went off!

the S trim and V are the same unit. V1 = loud version, V2 = quiet version.

i had both and the V1 drove me nuts after awhile. i switched to the somewhat quieter V2.
i dont believe the v2 necessarily means quiet version. i may be wrong but i did have a blower on my car when i bought it that was the loud strim and it had v2 stamped on the casing. later on when i went with another blower a v1 strim it was just as loud but again had v1 on the case.
