M/T ET STREETS??????

Im a little confused here. I want to get a pair of real good tires so I was looking at m/t et streets. On here i hear everyone asking each other if there true et streets or drag radials. Which ones are better? I am going to be using them at the track and for street racing as well. I just want which ever ones will hook the best.

the Tires Are Great... I Ran them The Hole Summer Last year... The M/t Et Street is a Slick That is still legal on the Streets due to the 2 lines of tread if you would even call that tread.!?!. they Really Will help you Hook 100 times better then a Street tire, The only problem i had is that there only good for 500 or 5000 Miles.. Which is not long at all so paying 300 for set almost every summer was out of the question for me. i love Them tho and soon Hope to Get a 2nd set of rims for them for track only or Street racing nights only.. it would of helped me out alot better if i wasn't just driving around all week and weekend on them.. the life of the tires will not last long. wire mesh will show After a short amount of time..

i run them at the track and they are more like a slick than a drag radial.

i had to get tubes for them. i ran them tubeless the first time out and i ran over something, them being so soft it punched a tiny hole in them. they still had alot of life in them so i got some tubes, to use in them and later i will get a nice wrinkle wall and i'll need tubes for them also.

the E/T streets hook reall nice, but in my expierence you have to run som pretty low air pressure and do a decent burnout before they hook

M/T has a et street and a et street radial. The et street for the most part is a slick with 2 lines on it. The et street radial is for the most part a drag radial but i think its better. If your running it on the street and track i would go with the et street radial you'll get more miles out of them then you would an et street and i wouldnt want to get caught out on et streets when a summer storm hits out of nowhere.

well i had the Streets and even with the 2 lines Rain is not Fun.. a Tempo Past me and water off the littlest car almost sent me off road.. so the drag radials are not gonna make any more traction.. If that Helps..

I run the ET street DRs on my 93. I have been caught in the rain with them and it is a hairy situation at best.

As far as how well they hook up. On my 93 with an AOD with a stock converter I have no issues, granted I can't launch over about 1600 rpm, but when the 150 shot of nitrous kicks in at 3K they stay hooked up. With a wet plate kit and 4.10s I figure thats pretty good.

I am gonna swap them over one day to my 88 5 speed and take it to the track one day and see what it will do.

I run a 275/50/15 Mt drag radial, and when i went to corral day, i was launching at 4000, 1.599 sixty foots(with much more in it). on the way home it started raining, that was scary!!! they are def. a track/ dry weather tire.
