New #s, finally!

that's plain mouthwatering potential right there. Yeah spray some juice before the intercooler maybe? 2.8 would be crazy. Are you saying that w/ less cfm flowing heads you'd make more power? Or just more PSI (resistance).

Correct. Remember, boost isn't a measure of airflow, it's a measure of pressure in the intake. So better flow in the heads equals less pressure, which is a good thing.

I have the stock T 45 and my tranny whines in 3rd grear after the crazy horsepower jump I made. It's holding so far. I hope it lasts until winter so I can upgrade! Congrats on the numbers. Your car and my car need to go on a play date!

It's on race. I thought the blower could as well but didn't. The hp goes up like it'll top 700 easily but drops off right before 6K rpm, just like the little KB 1.7L had a habit of doing. My car was making 20 PSI with the 26 PSI pulley. With 18 PSI it made only 5hp less than w/20 lbs. It was simply too much engine for this blower.
Well.... maybe it's time to step up to the Whipple 3.3!? :D

Congrats on the power man.... I'll bet it's literally a BLAST!

Trans is okay. Just had to remove the stop shifts since the t56 already has them internally. Car is now shifting smoother than ever!

Yep. My KB 2.6 may possibly make more power with the stage 2 heads, but this isn't a bad problem to have. IMO it's better to have an efficient engine than too efficient power adder.

Wow hard to believe you're still going with the stock T45! I would comment on the "play date" but i think it's best that I keep it to myself heheh :)

VERY nice!! What are the pump gas #'s?

603rwhp/565rwtq @ 18 PSI  Right now, I'm running on the 590rwhp/523rwtq @ 15 PSI tune and even that feels ridiculous!

thanks man! Whipple 3.4 would be nice but they don't make anything for the 2Vs. Tim has built some BADASS KB 2.8H 2Vs though, I'm still stoked over my current new setup.

That is down right NASTY. Can you post any more pics/vids of your setup?

here's some pics. I'll try to make some vids soon..

That is just down right sick man. Your ride is badass. My car only see's between 10-11#'s of boost on the 14# pulley. I'd rather have the internals safe with the more efficient engine anyday over seeing full boost.

Very interesting. I wonder what KB has to say about this? I am not complaining about the power it makes but I didn't want to have to swap to another P/A to make 700 rwhp either.

Jim Bell said "thats one hell of a motor". Gary's car @ 20psi should be making 28psi based on the pulley setup.
When we built this car Gary didn't want to be limited on motor for future upgrades. He knows MPH can install 2.8H's on 2v's and wanted to have plenty of engine if he decides to go this route.
Keep in mind it was also 100 Deg in the dyno room and the car was pulling 2-3 degrees of spark. It should hit 660rwhp once the weather cools down a bit.

This is the same engine setup that makes 800rwhp with a KB 2.8H. The 2.6H is doing fine with this engine but its not enough blower for this particular setup to make the max power this motor is capable of.
I just dyno tuned this same setup yesterday with a 2.8H and it made 717rwhp on pump gas.

My car made 919rwhp but it need the 2.8H to do it.

Congrats Gary, enjoy the car!
