quick run down...

bought the stang in April and among many of the problems it had the brakes light were stuck on...though quick fix replaced the brake light switch and now they were just 100% OFF.... so i rigged it up to work temporary so i could drive it a few miles to see how it ran after i got it running...
Ive been messing with the brake lights since April and to no Avel will they work correct... now they wont work at all!

ive traced all wiring back to the lights checked the grounds and still nothing....

im at a lost of works..ive searched online on every mustang forum that i can find any info on along with the clinton manuals and Haynes...and NO luck...ive replaced the switch thinking i just keep getting bad switched 6 times in the past month...

any idea as to what the heck is up with this....the simplist problem the car had ( i though anyway) has turned out to be the biggest pain in the ass...i cant drive it till i get the break lights working and all be damned if im not gonna be able to drive it this weekend :bang:

are you sure the pedal is activating the switch? check bulbs? manually click the switch and have someone watch the lights, replace bulbs, etc.. test for power at the lights, test for power at the switch and before. Maybe yuo left something off the starter solenoid? hope this helps but it probably wont

like i said...checked all of this..replaced everything but the wiring......i rigged it up for the time being so i could drive it with a steal rod that manual pulled the contract away and turned them on...this works but makes the peddle very stiff and don't turn on until halfway to the floor...

i just the connector off the switch... you guys know the momentary contact for the door? the chime and doom light?...

i have a few extra of them...bu using the 2 wires (power...and the one that turns the doom light on)...im going to use this...something is up with what every makes the brake light switch work...yes ive replaced it....about 8 times now as i keep frying them....(this time i unplugged the battery  )

now i just have got to find a place to mount this....

with it this way...just by barley moving the break peddle the brake lights will come on...instead of the halfway to the floor deal..which makes me real happy because I'm always nerves as hell driving it with technically no break lights unless you really have to stop...

you probably already did this, but are you sure all the nylon bushings and washers are on the pedal? i know when i did my t5 conversion i had a similar problem cause i temporarily lost a couple of em. when i put em back on it worked fine.

I didnt understand much of what you said Ryan. You did note that you're blowing BOO's. Why is this happening? That should be the root of the issue.

yes they are on there...

be careful, that kinda wiring is what car fires are made of..

its manily i didnt dicent the battery and when i pulled the connector of the switch i hit it with a screw driver and sparkes and such and poped the fuse....

right now i have break ligths but now...it wont start again :(

here is what i did...started it..jumped the 2k like it always dose then ideled down 2 secs later and then died...im thinking ok its very cold out tonight..when to start it again and it is acting like it did when i was having that netrual saftey switch probelm...turn key and it just clicks...

im gonna go back and make sure i didnt knock and wites lose under the dash and such but idk what i did or what happend

make sure the switch is facing back and not hanging down, i had my hanging down and it never worked then i moved it where it was sitting on top of the column support and it fixed it!
