Wasted a Monte Carlo SS today in the Merkur...is that good?

It looked brand new, had 30 day tags on it...we took off from a light and i think we were both waiting for the other to make a move so it ended up being a roll race...bad for him. He hit it before me and i nailed it into 2nd and the clutch just slipped to hell and back but as soon as it grabbed i was in front of him before i even hit 3rd and it was all the wrote after that. Don't these things have V8s?

I've heard of Cavalier Z24s walking non-supercharged Monte Carlo SS'eseses. Pieces of trash those cars are.

the new ones are 5.3L...My GT had one from 1-3 than it was close after that...maby his was a year old with a 3.8

Monte Carlo was axed for the 2008 model year. You're probably thinking Impala.

I don't recall hearing any supercharger, but then again i was paying more attention to keeping my clutch from slipping and watching the boost gauge, besides he was only beside me for 2 seconds so i wouldn't have heard it anyways.

No my friend has an Montie SS and it has a 5.3 (maby it is an 07) he just bought it like 4 months ago brand new

and it has that ghey 4cyl mode when you take it easy

07 Montes have 303 hp 5.3s in them. They run mid to high 14s. A guy i work with has one. They are naturally aspirated. Its pretty peppy though
