SASKATOON
-51 celcius tonight.:notnice:

I find it really funny how in most of your guy's states or cities, if it even snows you get to take the day off. Meanwhile it is like actual and immenant death here and I have to go to work!! It sucks. Me and the g/f (fiance) are considering whether -50 weather is worse then hurricanes. It's a tough choice let me tell you.

To everyone here:

Enjoy your nice weather!!! Take the stangs for a nice little WOT run :)

I on the other hand will hope the cobra has enough balls to start tomorrow @ 6:00 a.m. (it did have the good california life until this year) :flag:

http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/CASK0276 (1/2 way down the page it shows this too for monday evening) I think it should work. Check out the "feels like" temp on there!!!!

Only 1 time in the 15 years I've been with the Post Office did they ever cancel mail service, and that was because their was 17 inches of snow on the ground and about 50 below zero. It took me two hours to get to work, but I made it and then my supervisor tells me they canceled mail service. That was when I lived in the midwest. Alittle over a year ago we had a power outage here and power was cut off to over 1 million people in the state. Here we were during Christmas time wearing minor's helmets with lights on them sorting mail to get it out and delivered. The mail went out. :flag:

I guess it is like "they" say... the mail always goes out not rain sleet or snow stops it ... or something like that :D

and snow is a migical thing brought here by evil fairies with wands, just the "sparkles" that come off of the wands don't just fade away they fall on the ground and stay and they continuously fly around the wand, and when the fairies open their mouths it shoots out similar stuff that comes out of your mustangs vents when it's hot out when you turn to the a/c part of the knob.

Hope that gave you a small indication of when "snow" and "cold" are :)

No don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you guys are wusses at all. I just see on the news alot that cities close down for snow when it's like 1 cm... and people are crashing all over the place and crying in the interviews... it's honestly kind of funny. It's just the way that the news makes some of the states and cities look.

I'd be really ignorant to think that the whole country shut down for an inch of snow. It would be funny though.

Its like that here in Cincinnati. They like to pride themselves in being used to "real" winter but as soon as a trace of snow hits the ground they're canceling stuff left and right, creeping along at 5mph or less and of course heading for the nearest grocery and/or ditch.
I grew up in Western Michigan so know a bit of what real winter is like, especially since I grew up in the 70's and 80's when we had some really bad winters. I've seen -50F and I'll tell you what.....that's what real cold is all about. Car doors freeze, batteries won't start, furnaces quit and exposed skin is immediately frostbitten. I love winter but when it starts hitting sub-zero temps I'm like all the weanies, give me some heat! Must be the old age, I used to love cold weather.

-44C today here. Sucked Ass. I had to help some humps load some pipe drill stem that got dropped off in our yard by mistake. Took 20minutes and I had full gear on except just jeans. Damn my legs were frozen. Everytime you faced straight into the wind you were done, it just froze your face instantly. I hate Winter.

HAAAAAAAA!!!! I actually had the top down on the Cobra yesterday. Bah, ha, ha, ha! And for the record I'm from upstate NY where it's not uncommon to get into the -30/40's. I moved to Alabama to get away from that crap!:D :rlaugh:

All you guys and gals crack me up.

and no... I've never been anywhere near a hurricane, only a tornado (and not the one that goes in your air cleaner... I'll never be near one of them!!!) so I don't know what they are like.
