4cyl Fox body springs??

I currently have the Eibach pro-kit.....I am going to be doing a lot of drag racing this summer and will be buying my friends 4cyl fox springs. They sit the same as lowering springs and give great weight transfer. I will also be taking out my front sway bar and setting my shocks on loose...

Has anyone done this on an sn95 and have pics??

Thanks guys :nice:

i did it in my old 94 cobra and loved it. i think this is the only pic i have of it after the springs but ill keep looking. it gave the car a great rake

Looks great thanks man!!

Did you notice any difference at the track?

well i was on street tires, but it was the first time i broke below a 2.0xx 60ft when i got the springs in. never got to run it at the track with the drag radials and 4banger springs but it hooked pretty well. i think if you do the 4 banger springs up front, upper and lower control arms, and some full length subframes, you will be driving a whole new beast. and you can do all that for fairly cheap. just get the springs from a junk yard, the springs will already be settled and you can get them for next to nothing. :nice:

I already have Steed upper and lowers....The uppers have spherical bushings....I'm getting them off my friend he had them in his low 12 sec notch.

When you launch on the street does the front come up a a lot more with them?

Thanks!!

i am trying to drop my car on a budget. pretty much to try and find the height i want without spending alot of cash on suspension parts and then changing them out for different parts because i dont like the way they look. when i get it the way i want i would like to mimic with better quality parts.

are fox v8 springs lower than our gt springs. or should i try and cut my own springs?

I heard the 4 banger springs sit as low as Eibach sportlines on our car's..

I would cut a coil on you're stock rear springs and see how much lower you want to go..

Just be careful when you cut the springs because a lot of damage if not done right..

alright today at pull-a-parts i got the fronts off of a 4 banger and the rears off an early 90s v8 mustang would the springs from a v8 drop at all or are they the same?

im not positive on this but i think the fox rears sit a little lower, which makes sense being that the foxes were a fair bit lighter than our cars. i havent ever done it though so dont take my word for it. the rears are easy though so if they sit to high just take em out and cut them. on the other hand, i ran across a set of max speed lowering springs for 48 bucks (guy was asking 50 but its what i had in my wallet) so it may be worth it to just hold out a little while and find a deal
