New Digital SLR Pictures

My brother came in to town and he brought his Nikon D40. Neither of us know how to use all the damn features, but its a great camera and took some nice pictures. I figured I should share them with you guys.

I have several more, so if you guys really enjoy them I'll put up some more.

I wish I could have taken more here, but this is actually a ghost town. It was a self-sufficient town about 4 km outside of the city I live in. And it had its own hospital, school everything, all within a few acres. It originally started out as a tuberculosis treatment town, with a train station in the town that could get trains nationwide for tuberculosis treatment. Sweet place.

Yeah, it is Dark Shadow Gray. Used to be Bright Regatta Blue, but I've always wanted a Gray notchback. Coupe, I dont live in Colorado. I live in the BC interior in Canada. Does the scenery look similar?

It was a friggin HOT day. It was at least 40 degrees yesterday when we took those pictures. My neck and face are fried.

I dont know the story all that intimately, however if you were to google things like "padova, tranquille sanitorium, sanitorium in Kamloops, British Columbia", etc. I think you could find most of the stuff. Heres a decent website :

I have lots of pictures as Ive been out a couple times, but its all on my disassembled computer. Heres a couple pictures that may intrigue you. You may also be interested to know that a few years back MTV actually flew up here and did a spot on it called Serenity Lake. It was all BS about how haunted and crap it is, and some people will agree but MTV blew it way out of proportion.

I like that color but i want something more charcoal and metallic looking for mine. That's a pretty nice camera too..i've been wanting a digital SLR ever since they came out.

Well, the photos don't really do the color justice. There is loads of metallic in it, and its a beautiful color. Unfortunately the camera can only capture so much. The next major purchase I make will be an SLR, I want one so bad .

It started out with wanting mineral grey, which is still an awesome color but i wanted something darker. Then i turned to DSG, but still i want something that is borderline BLACK but has that charcoal color.

Know of anything like that? It's trivial but i'd like to stick with Ford colors if possible.

WOW i didn't even notice that!! Yea colorado looks very similar to the scenes you have photo'ed your car in. And the car looks amazing i might add! Awesome pictures!!

Looks close to Penticton to me or Summerland. I used to go on holidays every year to Peachfest. Good old Peachfest, ohh the mammaries err......... memories .

A couple hours from Penticton. I love the Okanagan, though. My favorite place to be. Similar in terrain though.

Its coming along.. I didn't realize that we have the same color interior!!! First it was our coupes that looked alike now its our interiors!! I was going to swap to black but its sooo clean that there is really no point. I would like to get new seats but would black seats look bad in an all blue interior?

Other then that its coming along! Not as nice as yours but soon it will be "respectable"

Your little LX seems like a clean little car. I think black seats would look good with it, although I'd also add black carpet and a headliner, and then it would actually look pretty good. My original plan was to do just that but with a gray dash/console and door panels, but I recently found a complete set of black interior for a price I couldnt pass up.
