Im driving the car normal , and I felt a jug back, I though its my tranny, a minute later I smell coolant, but I though the smell coming from POS old truck in front of me . I when to best buy, and I saw coolant under my car, I pop the hood, OH ****.....coolant was all over my engine, I though my PI intake crack, but I track down and the heater hose from the passenger side is bust !!. my friend came over and bough a small hose, I connect it and fill it with coolant and water, a minute later coolant light pop up and the car temperture about to move, I imedialy pull over and turn off the car, I call all over and no one carry the hose in stock, it had to be order, and it not be here until saturday , is dealer my last hope ? btw I just dont understand why the hose blew, it look very good condition.

I had one blow at 40K miles at full throttle , coolant all over the windshield , NOT FUN , patched the old one and refilled till I could get one from the dealer

actually if goes on the intake its the inlet to the heater core. mine just blew this weekend also and it sucked lol. you have to get one from the dealer cause there is a special restricter in the hose that aftermarket doesnt have in it and if you dont have that in there you can and most likely will blow your heater core. ford made their water pump too strong for the car and under heavy acceleration the pressure is so strong that the heater core cant handle it. the hose is pretty cheap at the dealer.

is this true ? cause ford part is already close !!! if i order tomorrow, then it will be here monday !!! this weekent is *** !!

as stated above, check to make-sure it's not the plastic nipple at the rear of the intake, I've started to sea a bunch of them fail lately.....

I check this morning, and it was perfect, I order a hose from oreilly yesterday and it came this morning, I put it on and car ran perfect, last couple week I have a whisling noise caming from the heater hose area, after I put this hose in and the noise go away, no leaking no where,

RANDY, can you tell me the statement above is true that i need order a hose from ford . the one I order from orreilly , it bench same as the ford stock one, and it fix perfectly. do i need order the one from ford ? thanks

My rule of thumb is to replace all belts and hoses every 5 yrs or 50000 miles. I had the top radiator hose blow out on my 1970 Ford LTD when I was in high scholl back in the stone age. It's isn't fun. I was stranded on the highway until my uncle picked me up. We had no cell phones back then. Had to huff it to a pay phone. Pearl02.

i dont exactly know if its true for your car but my hose had a restricter in it. look to see if your old one has a metal band around it. if so then it has the restricter in it. you can take it out of that one and shove it in the new one and zip tie it in. thats wut i did and is working good.

that statement is 100% true and as stated above, you can remove the old one and put in the new hose or goto your local dealer and order just the flow restrictor and install it later

Just get a piece of heater hose and bypass the heater core for the time being so you can drive your car. I've blown out TWO of those hoses over the years. It sucks lol. Get on it and then I see a smoke cloud out the back and smell coolant haha.
