What quadrant and firewall adjuster to go with?

My clutch cable is at the end of its life. Im getting locked out of 2nd and sometimes 3rd if I get on it, and there is a horrid squeaking when I press the clutch pedal down.

What quadrant and firewall adjuster does everyone like? Im thinking of going with the UPR triple hook quadrant, firewall adjuster and cable kit. Im just not sure on the quality of the cable.

Well I just ordered a Maximum Motorsports adjuster/quadrant kit on monday, should be here tomorrow! So i will let ya know what I think about it. I ordered this one because it can be used with the stock cable, and after some searching everyone that had it liked it. I wanted to order the Fiore adjuster/quadrant, BUT i couldnt get any feedback about it.

I have the UPR triple hook and firewall adjuster. Works great. I use a stock Ford cable. The only other cable I've used the Steeda adjustable and it tore up after a week. I've heard it happened to others also so I'd stay away form it.

Side note though. The squeak your are getting may be the throw out bearing. How often is it happening?

I can hear it outside the car as well. It sounds like its coming from under the dash as well so maybe both are squeeking.
The only time you would hear any squeaking from the cable/quadrant assembly is if you are depressing/releasing the clutch. A noisy throwout bearing will change pitch as you do this. If you hear it outside the car then you are getting throwout bearing noise. You can try spraying it with lithium grease to see if it quiets down but the bad throwout bearing is a common issue.

It definitely has the be the TOB. Im going to replace the clutch hopefully around spring so i'll take care of it then.

I know mine is the cable because i can feel is as its squeaking. If that makes sense

The cable is not going to make anything squeak. It's likely your TOB as others have stated. If you just had your transmission rebuilt and it's making noises, you need to take it take to whomever did this rebuild work. Did they put a new clutch, PP, pilot bearing and/or throughout bearing in? Did they replace or at least turn the flywheel? These are the major wear items in your transmission...
Even still, you should replace your clutch cable (ONLY with a stock OEM Ford cable - simply the best ones are from Ford). And an aftermarket quad and firewall adjuster are very helpful to 'tune' the release point and get better feel of the clutch. Also, MM makes (and I think Steeda does now too) a clutch pedal adjuster...allowing major height changes of the pedal.
I'm running UPR stuff right now, but have also used MM and Steeda in previous cars with no problems with any of these manufacturers. UPR is a bargain and the make quality stuff.

Yes they replaced the clutch, pilot,TOB, and turned the fly wheel. The reason i think its the cable well actually its more comming from the pedal, is because i can kinda feel it as it squeaks. IDK it doesnt always do it.

I have steeda cable, quad, and firewall adjuster and am very happy with it. No problem what soever.

Nightmare, I know what your talking about when you say "feel it" as it sqeaks, as stated before just replace cable and get quad and adjuster.

I have the steeda double hook quad and firewall adjuster, I'm not really fond of it as my clutch hasnt ever seemed like it engages right with it. What setup do you guys think would work best? I want a good release and something that will cut down on the travel of the pedal.

Call Lethal Performance and get the Fiore set-up with a stock cable. This will give you by far the best set up out there.

I got this setup and absolutely agree. It has the same radius as stock so it won't change you pedal at all except for one thing. When you remove the old crap, you remove the clutch pedal return spring also. I modified the sheet metal clutch fork cover underneath and added a return spring. Now it's perfect.
