i thought it was kinda cool to see my body style car as one of the main cars in the movie. and my friend mike i went with has WRX like the STI in this one. so it was kinda cool pulling out in the parking lot and hearing all the ricers like "Dude thats the car from the movie!"

the movie was all and all pretty good, as long as you dont look at it too much from a technical stand point. for entertainment purposes and seeing alot of nice cars together its a great movie and i definitely recommend people see it. i plan on seeing it again when the hype dies down a little bit. i must say ricers can be quite loud and obnoxious.

I just saw the movie today. I thought that Tjaarda Mustang was alright, not the coolest S197 I've ever seen though. Amazingly there were no ricers at the theater today, probably helped that it was almost freezing and rainy/snow mix. Still drove my 'Stang to go see it though. There was a grabber orange convertible GT parked nearby :nice:

It was definitely better than 2 and 3. It was as good, if not better than the 1st, due to all the muscle cars. There also weren't any self-healing floorboards, 150MPH shifts, or long nitrous scenes. The only unbelievable thing was the reverse driving again.

i didnt like the wheelies in sand. haha.

but like you said it was definitely a good movie.

Yeah it was better then I thought actually. I liked all the mix of cars they had in it.

There was def a few ricers and audio SUV's around when we left. They all sitting around in back of parking lot blasting bone numbing loud music.

Is ok, entire parking lot still heard me when I fired up the Stang. :-)

The Fast and the Furious is for ricers!

I haven't bothered with any of them since the first one. I'm actually surprised that they were able to get Vin to come back. I guess he needed the money.

I am mildly curious to see Tokyo Drift, but only cuz I LOVE Asian girls.

this one isn't for ricers. the main cars were a ford torino a s197 GT a 70 chevelle, a skyline, a sti, a grand national, porsche 911, m5 bmw, a ford gt, etc.

these aren't little matchbox cars like 1-3.

out of the cars i listed, i don't see one ricey car.

I agree, this was the best movie out of the previous 3...

You should definitely watch the other 3 before you watch this one... It ties it all together...though I have to admit I was a little lost in the first few minutes of the move, trying to figure out the the sequence of events... lol

Awesome movie!!!! Not ricer at all this time around!!! Actually made fun of ricers a few times during the movie... LOL

It was pretty decent. A little bit more realistic. There were a lot of people bringing their 5 year olds, etc and I was just thinking to myself they shouldn't be watching this ... especially when the little queer was filming the girl on girl action in his room.

Skyline and STI aren't rice?!?! Don't think so.

Sorry guys, but you couldn't drag me to watch this movie. Cool cars or not, the story of the first one was so bad that I don't see how they could possibly improve on it. But maybe I'll wait 'til the Blu-ray comes out and rent it. My home theater blows away my local theaters anyway, (other than the huge screen).

It kinda sucks that there aren't any good racing movies out on BD.

Stis can haul ass, and ride real nice.

skylines, well nissan in general, aren't my favorite cars, but they aren't rice.

theres a difference between import and rice.

these aren't the 100 hp eclipses from the first one, these are imports that put out some power.

i'm not an import guy by far, i love american cars and will own nothing but.

i respect cars where respect is due, i don't see a badge on the front and immediately put down the car.

hell i even respect the new Hyundai Genesis. looks pretty sweet and posts similar times to the new mustang GT. I wouldn't drive one though.

when i went to the track on sti vs evo day alot of the cars were running in the 11s. launch and hold on.

yeah all the cars in this movie were very impressive. Did anyone else notice that almost every single car was famous for some reason? (celebrity build, build on RIDES, etc)

a car movie is a car movie, even if it has a pretty standard plot thats been done a million times, and alot of the driving is ridiculous, i'll still watch it a million times.

Check out NBC's website. I missed the lasat three ewpisodes. I cant wait to see it. I wish it was on On Demand. A good cars a good car I can think of a few imports that I'd own. I just dont look much into the movie, then its like almost every other car movie.

Vin stated previously that he wouldn't do a sequel unless the script was solid and he knew it would be a blockbuster. However, since then, he's done those stupid kiddie movies, so now he's probably doing whatever he can to get his career back. He did F&F, working on a Riddick sequel, has a video game (Wheelman), and is supposedly working on a XXX sequel. I think he's given up on trying not to be the sequel guy and worrying more about bringing in cash while he can.

In any event, it was good to have him back in the movie, and it (to use a quote from TFATF 1) "decimated all" other TFATF movies.

Tokyo Drift was the absolute worst. But, still a car movie.

Speaking of car movies... Does anyone know when Knight Rider will be back on TV? I miss my Wednesday night fix...
We won't know until next month if it's coming back.

All I can say is there aren't many (if any) car movies these day for people like us. This is the best in the series by far. On another note there have been some real crap attempts at modern day car movies--Redline.......need I say more :-) Glad I saw this on cable :D

At least they had some pretty nice cars...and that girl was HOT!!!
But yeah, the story line, acting, all of it other than cars and hot girls was pathetic...

I never understand...it would be so easy to make car movies...

Make a movie about an inspiring race car driver...not Talladega Nights...something along the lines of an outsider...not Days of Thunder...that started with amateur racing and moved up to semi pro, pro, etc...including all the other challenges in life. Throw in there some action, T&A, and awesome cars and you got yourself a movie. Aspire the crazy teen street racers that there are other places to race; autocross, local drag strip, etc...make it attractive for this demographic. Maybe make it a tragedy of a street race and turn it around... I don't know. There are endless story lines here...

Lets not forget Death Race and all the Transporter movies...those were pretty good.
Italian Job wasn't a car movie, but I sort of classify it as slightly.
