I'm sure this had been talked about til people have been blue in the face, but I'm getting tuning done this spring, and want everything in place. What I got is TrickFlow cnc 185 heads, stage 2 cam and their track heat intake. Running a fender cold air kit, 355 gears, 5-speed, A9P computer, fuel pressure regulator, all MSD ingnition components 1 5/8 shorties, 2 1/2 off road X pipe, 2 1/2 Mac after cat, and a 100 horse push button yet to be installed.

My question is: I currently have both 70 and 75mm throttle bodies, 30lb injecors, and am yet to purchase a new mass air meter, but am leaning toward the 80mm cobra one off ebay. The other option of course is the lightning. YOUR THOUGHTS???

The motor probably will get stroked to 331 before spring yet, to build a better bottom end for the trickflow nitrous kit, so I would like that to be considered as well. I know I need at least the 70mm, but would the 75 be better suited even though there is no blower or turbo?

ANY and EVERY bit of help is appreciated.

Forgot to mention that my cold air kit (3 1/2 in. before meter, 3 in. to throttle blody) would meet up to 80mm better than the 90mm which is why I am leaning that way, but will not rule the 90 out. Going to supercharge someday, but this motor and associated components will go into wife's car.

If all the votes say 70mm for the throttle body, at what level is the 75 needed? Having 'Stangs for 11 years, I know bigger is not always better.

75mm tb and 80mm MAF ofcourse

On my 93 gt I'm running a stock bottom end with fox lake ported brodix heads (187 cc).. I'm hoping the car puts down atleast 340hp to the ground on the dyno.

yeah should be at least 340hp, mines 325 with the stock systemax setup, how much was the extrude hone?

To do the upper intake it was around 400.00 It's not cheap by no means. The hp per dollar ratio doesn't look good either if you just focus on that one part of the combo. But I think with a properly ported lower and a good cam, heads. The Extrude Hone work could be the difference in winning a extremely close race.

To the OP, I think you should atleast run a 410 gear with the stg2 cam. I'm willing to bet with a 355 gear and that cam, your car will be a bucking bronco at anything below 2500 rpm's.
Dont fear the gear...lol

the extrude hone process always intreged me. I plan to get my holley heads ported and a bigger cam, something like the TFS stage 2 to replace my Z303. right now trap speed is at 110, like to get it to like 115.
