Rare Breeds?

Today I was on a Toronto based Mustang site, and saw a spoiler I'd never seen before.

Ugly as sin, it was a Dech Motorsports fully functional wing, and I will post pictures in a few mins when I get a chance to put'em on photobucket

Of course, I've seen Dech Motorsports Body Kits on old Fox bodies, which were kind of bland, but, very aerodynamically efficient, as I've been told by many.

So this led me to keep investigating, and it turns out there's next to nothing on this company, as they went out of business in 2000 after 15 years of, what seemed to be, a very competitive production run. From what I've read, these cars, outfitted with the full aerodynamic package as well as a few very strange suspension geometry features, were neck and neck with Steve Saleen and could beat up on many exotics (of the times, that is)

Then, like a slap in the face to a guy that really thought he knew every model of mustang ever created (silly me), I found out that there was a VERY limited run of products made for the 94 - 98 Mustang. I was dumbfounded, but then came to the realization that there were probably many "Editions" of our cars that alot of us have never heard of.

One other I have searched for with no luck has been the Kenne Bell Ventoso Mustang. Search away, you'll find very little on it, but it does exist.

Anybody else know of any other rare "small breed" mustangs out there?

Yeah...I worked for a company that put together a few. Dynatek Racing (05+).

Neat how they kinda made their own Watts link; or at least used similar ideas as I have no idea when the Watts link was invented.

I saw the Kenne Bell car. I had a poster with it. It was actually sold on ebay a few years back. It was teal IIRC. I am sure there are many of these cars that people have never seen or heard of.

Yeah, Shane, it was teal, and just different enough that it caught my attention. As for a following, there was a very minute one...so minute, in fact, that it's impossible to find any literature on the car. Kills me!

I agree, as well Hanky, that "ASG" rear seems very simple, yet looks to do alot!

You know what kills me. One of my redneck friends in college showed me a diagram of something he had thought of to keep the axle from moving around. It was a Watt's link, but neither of us had ever heard of a Watt's link before. I told him that if it actually worked someone would have invented it already. Now you see adds for Watt's links all the time. That and my dedicated drive system for a 4.6 blower. Both good ideas we had just after someone else had already thought of it.

the front looks a lot like the Roush add on bumper. the spoiler is different for sure. where the hell is the rear bumper?

kenny brown had something if i remember right was a v6 racer.

Agreed Ryan, the front really does look like the Roush bumper, but I think this was floating around before or at the same time AS Roush brought theirs out....note the vents in the side of the valances as well. Not sure if I agree with them or not, but it's an interesting touch, for sure

Rear bumper wise, I'm not sure. I'm trying to get in touch with the owner of the defunct company now, and when I do, I'd like to ask him some questions...maybe he thought the rear bumper was efficient enough??
