Annnd we're back.

( Actually,..it's just me,..."we" never went anywhere)

What a week. I bet my Co-Genius that I would be the "old guy" there, considering the hiring platform is similar so as to attract the same candidates that typically work at a Apple store.

There were 24 people there, and only 2 were older than me. But they were older nonetheless.

Since the dealership wants us to cap at 40 hrs,...I'm way over for the week as of right now, so it looks like the Monster might get some needed love this week end after all.

But first I have to take care of my poor,...neglected, wife. That'll require some time spent dining, talking, and carousing,...general tomfoolery,..and sitting around. After that, I gotta go to a ladies house and hang her TV on the wall for her.
( gotta pay for the (3) BMW performance center polo's I bought at the facility)).

And then some quality monster time.

But for tonight, I'm beat. Woke up at 3:30 AM Eastern time out of a two part "Night of the living dead" zombie kind of dream, and had to keep myself awake long enough so that I didn't start part three playing in my head. (Wonder what all that sht was about?)
That made it 4:30 when I finally laid back down with the serious intent to go back to sleep. Gave up on that one hour later, and decided to get around for the final tests we had to take to get finished for the day.
All this goes to say as I sit here, is I'm trying to figure out what my body "thinks" the time is here, now that I'm back in CT.

Have I been awake since 2:30 AM? 3:30?. Either way, I can guarantee that I'll be miserable company at about 9PM.

Put a couple of ounces of Bulleit Bourbon in me, top that off with some BBQ,..and I'm thinkin'....comatose by 10.

Soooo, is life back to being normal for you now Mikey? (normal as can be expected, I mean?)
Yeah,...I'm gonna have to revisit the intended purpose of the build though.

Before BMW, the car was built to maybe see light road course/X cross duty, with an emphasis on being a street driver.
After BMW, I'm completely hooked on the track, and Barber raceway is literally right down the street. (The same track that sees the Porsche driving experience, and one of the first legs of the Indycar series)

The adrenaline rush was constant,...Unlike the 10-12 seconds you get a quarter mile at a time when drag racing, this stuff lasted for minutes at a time.

But,.....

I know that the technology that kept all of those big power cars I drove on the track isn't on the Monster. Things like traction control, stability control, and ABS made track heroes out of everybody. You simply could not lose control of those cars. And being able to keep the car on the track was why it was so freakin fun.

W/o those technologies In the same circumstances,....the Monster and I would've been in big trouble numerous times....

Oversteer/Understeer like mad, Pushing the tires, Brake fade, Inadequate stopping power, Locked front tires, Broken parts, or worse..... Wrecked.

No said the finger.:nono:

Not after what it took to build this thing.

So,....like it's owner,......The Monster has to get kicked down a notch.

The monster is gonna be like the horse that you ride to get to the one you ride to race on.

The BMW I lease next year will be the one I ride to race on. (Cause I gotta drive #1's Jeep for free till he gets back from Korea.) The wife has decreed that to be law, I can certainly comply.

That means that there is a 500.00 lease payment, (my discount rate) and a car with an "M" in it's model and 360 HP out there waiting on me.
And with the exception of needing to buy a set of track wheels and tires for that car, There is no other car that I could do that with, and still maintain a full warranty and free maintenance for the duration of the lease.

This is the 2016 M2.
365 HP I-6, $51,000......CFW.

That's cool brother, but don't go comparing apples to oranges here.

Your monster has a cool about it that no fckin' BMW will EVER match. Lap times are one thing there buddy, but cool is a whole 'nother thin!:nice:
Ohh don't get me wrong,......I'm not discounting the cool factor one single bit.

But,...

Every "cool" actor has a stuntman to make him look good.

And.....

All the Monster has to do is just "arrive". I don't have to hurt him to prove anything to anybody.

See there Mikey, you're my stuntman when it comes to Doby.

I wonder if there are any dealerships in my area looking for a genius...

It sounds like you're having a blast Mike. They are indeed expensive, but they can be so much fun to drive.

I stumbled on the Genius position,....It was just there, and I was lucky enough to be in the same place at the same time.

To be one takes three things:

#1. You gotta be a salesperson, and comfortable talking feature/benefit when you explain something in lay terms.
#2. You have to be comfortable with, and capable of demonstrating the technology. (Think Apple store Genius)
#3. It's retail. You have to work Saturdays, and Holidays (unless you just spent 55 hours at a training.)

There were people at my training there from Ohio. Every BMW center has geniuses. Google the name If you want, maybe they're looking for one in your market.

I gave up being a stunt double a long time ago,.....Tell Doby she better talk to Tom Cruise and learn how to do her own damn stuff.

The Monster will not take second billing to any woman.

Regardless of how pretty she is.

I would go to Tom, but he's just too itty bitty for a man's car!

I don't know about that... Make the right choice and a pretty lady will outlast and outlook a pretty car... and be a whole lot more fun...

This is very true, however choosing a woman I think can be a lot like buying a car... They don't always behave after purchase.... Some turn out to be higher maintenance. :rlaugh:

I would never tell you that the pretty lady wouldn't be expensive at times, but who regrets spending money on someone that can be so enjoyable? I would look at it as an investment, like a car cover or a nice garage.

Come on Mike, the added difficulty just makes it more fun. I'll head down there and we can take the fox and monster out to the track and be terrible together. [emoji6]

Or we can wait until you get the BMW and we can see how many times you lap me.

I wasn't referring to a real woman guys, Dave refers to his car in the female. I refer to mine as male.....

Get it?
