Check Engine Light??

Hello again everyone. I've tried everything mentioned and still not able to get the cel to go off. I'm going to buy the code reader. Does that just connect under the hood where jump wire would go?

It connects up in the same place as the jumper method to dump the codes.

Did you ever reset the codes from before?

If not, perform a reset, then drive the car a bit and then retest. Dobyoir retest with the engine hot, to avoid a false code 21

To reset the codes. Plug code reader in. Turn ignition to on. Hit test/hold. The codes will start to flash in about 10 seconds. When they do, hit test/hold again, and then turn ignition off.

Start engine and do short drive. With engine hot, do a retest. As soon as the koeo codes are done, start the engine and get the koer codes.

Kinda odd you got a code 67 with a factory v8 AOD car.

I never reset the codes... Being in in Ohio I'm not able to drive the car right now (SNOW)... I will when I'm able too.. The code 67 doesn't surprise me. Because person I bought it from was worse mechanic ever. They didn't adjust the linkage and just left the car in neutral and pulled the e brake...

You don't really need to drive it. The koeo codes you can run right away, and the koer codes will be more accurate if you can at least idle the car for a bit and get it all warm.

You can just tackle the koeo and CM codes for now, but if engine is stone cold, you get a false code 21.

Reset and rerun as some of those codes are instant, and others could be stored in there for a while

Alright cleared then out warmed up the car like mentioned then ran test again. Still getting KOEO codes

22
34
67
85

However, I couldn't figure out the way to get the KOER codes.. I'll try that again tomorrow since my neighbors are getting pissed at the 2.5" exhaust in the garage right now.. But what should I do about 22/34/85? I'm not worried about 67 right now.. Or will thecode reader not give me the KOER codes without fixing all the KOEO codes?

Thanks for all advice

Code 34 is EGR. Is the sensor present and plugged in? Try taking the EGR off and giving the plunger a good cleaning and test to see if it holds vacuum. (Push plunger in and block port with finger).

That is correct. You need to cure code 67 to move on.

reach up under dash where a phantom clutch pedal would be. You'll see two plugshanging loose. One has a jumper in it (starter circuit) and the other won't have anything.

Stick a 5 amp blade fuse in there, and that should cure the code 67 and allow you to proceed.

Of course, prob need to address it the correct way eventually

I believe the Canister has been deleted on my car. The BAP sensor appears to be damaged. What does that do?

BAP sensor measures atmospheric pressure. It works with the mass air flow sensor to calculate how much air is getting in the engine by measuring air flow and density and adjusting fuel. Car would run like crap with this busted

If I'm understanding correctly. I can still run the KOER codes once I bypass the 67 code?

Alright guys! I am still getting

34
67
85

I did the fuse in the plug I thought was one you guys mentioned. I also pulled egr valve cleaned it and pushed plunger and covered vac line and it didn't stay compressed. So what else do I do about the 67 code and 34 code? Because I can't even pull the KOER codes until I fix 67 code... Suggestions before I get frustrated...
